As we were about to get out of the truck, I told Mike that we just couldn't do it - that spending that much was not smart right now and maybe we should just pray that some affordable fencing would make its way into our life.
Three days later our neighbor called and said that they would not be doing the "animal thing" again and had two rolls of very good fencing that we were welcome to come pick up.
Wow - that was a quick answer to prayer.
WOW!!! What an absolute beautiful answer to prayer!!!!

ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! Don't you love the goodness of the Lord...how incredible that He supplied that need of yours. Smiling here in Maryland!

I just love when that happens! God is so good:-)
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! How high do you put your chicken fence? I just recently built a new coop and haven't yet built the fence and I don't know if I want to clip them. (I have 62 laying hens which would mean a lot of clipping.)
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteThe fencing is 4' tall and that seems to usually work - occasionally we have to add a bit to the top and kind of bend it in....
We don't clip our chickens and for the most part have had success.
We let them free range about 1/2 the year, but not once the garden is planted - about April 10 - September 15 or so.
Thanks! I never thought about bending it in but that seems like a good idea.
DeleteThere is nothing like answered prayer Tonya! He knows all of our needs and as long as you ask...you shall receive :-)
ReplyDeletem.
I am so glad to hear this! It doesn't always happen (that when we pray we obtain what we want) but it always work to put ourselves in the hands of God.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful story!! So glad your prayers were answered so quickly.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is amazing! Thank You, Lord for providing!
ReplyDeleteFunny how things work out. We had the same thing happen only it was from a defunct kangaroo ranch.
ReplyDeleteWow, the power of prayer.
ReplyDeleteIt never fails.
Good to read. I love hearing how our heavenly Father provides.
ReplyDeleteI love this! Thank you for your testimony about how God answers prayers! It is so true. We have had it happen in our lives as well. He truly lives!
ReplyDeletepraise God! He always hears our prayers...
ReplyDeleteThat is just wonderful!! God really listens, and it's crazy when He decides to not even test our patience, just GIVE. Thankfulness.
ReplyDeleteI am experiencing a period right now where God seems to give us everything we pray for right away. Three friends and I have started a little prayer/bible study group, and God is really showing off! Everything we have prayed for together has come to us, and it makes us really feel the power of God like never before. God REALLY has all power, not just in theory!
Keep on praying!
And thank you for your wonderful blog, and sharing from your life. It has been such an inspiration for me, and made me extend my view of what's possible, even in today's society. Living in a country where homeschooling, small-farming, living truly is almost non-existant, you have helped to open my eyes and become aware. Thank you!
God bless your days!
What a lovely answer to prayer. All He asks is that we be good stewards of the money He gives us. Isn't it wonderful when He does something like this. I am so happy for you and thank you for sharing.

ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing! I love it when life works out that way, such joy!
ReplyDeleteI love when that happens. God is good!
ReplyDeleteWow, Tonya! How wonderful- my heart is full!!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you listened to the 'still small voice' in the parking lot that day... look at the blessing you would have missed out on! I often wonder how often I quench the Spirit... :(
ReplyDeleteWonderful.

God is in the little things, isn't He? We are not forgotten even in our simple requests. What joy that brings me!
ReplyDeleteExcellent, there's nothing better than needs fulfilled :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing! We had a similar incident. As I strapped and bricked up our raggedy couch, I prayed that the Lord would provide a functional one for our family of 10. That was at 2pm. At 3pm my husband called to say that a woman he had worked for two years ago had called. She was moving to a smaller place and wondered if we needed any furniture. God is soooo good!
