Moments from the Week

We get outside every day, even if just for a  little bit.

This chicken, appropriately named, Snowflake, ventured out of the chicken coop area and found some shelter in the dog house.

Abby's head shot for her theater resume and audition.   She tried out for this summer's QNEK production of Annie - and found out she has the part of an orphan, Pepper.

I thought I would share the recipe for these Cranberry Walnut cookies -

1/2 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup oats
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt

Combine all ingredients and bake at 350 degrees for 13 minutes.

  1. Looks delicious, those cookies. And congrats to Abby for getting that part! Hope she has lots of fun with it.

All that snow looks beautiful. Here we have lots of rain, but I heard it will get colder this weekend. So maybe we'll get snow as well!

    Have a great weekend.

  2. We've been getting out each day too. Ugh, the wet snowpants, the wet mittens, the wet hats. (And I only have two LOL) What a great pic of Abby. You must be so proud!

  3. Great pictures! The first one is especially darling!

  4. So much fun getting outside in the snow and cold. Congrats to your budding actress, how fun and exciting for her. Enjoy your weekend.

  5. Looks like you had a nice week. I am going to try your cookie recipe! Sounds yummy and nutricious!

  6. I just love seeing these moments, Tonya! Your two girls are both beautiful (Abby, really now!). And outdoor play is essential to the mood of our home...and like you, sometimes it is for just a little bit, but it makes all the difference. Enjoy your weekend!

  7. Can't wait to try those cookies! That will be our new quick breakfast!

  8. Yum to the cookies :) We do not have any snow here in our part of Scotland yet, but I hear tell of flutters.

  9. Congrats to Abby! Beautiful young lady :) ~ Paula
