Knitting and Reading

Nothing too new to report this week.  I had hoped to have the whole ball of the next color for the blanket finished, but not yet.  Of course, I did cast on a couple of other things so that I don't get too bored with the blanket.

Can you believe February is almost here?   I would like to have the blanket completed before the warm weather arrives (which up here means I am probably fine until June)  because soon there will be a pile of wool on my lap as I knit.

I am really enjoying this book -  really a very simple read - some may find it boring - but I have been finding it relaxing before sleep.

Looking forward to all of the sharing today at Ginny's Yarn Along.

  2. Your colors for your blanket are so cheery.
I wish we wouldn't get warm temperatures until June, we seem to be all mixed up down here, it's warm now.

  5. Thanks for commenting on my blog! I have long been a fan of yours. And when I saw your name pop up, it totally reminded me that we had talked way back when about you making some birch branch alphabet letters for me, and then I had a baby and life got busy and I never got back to you. I will dig up the etsy conversation and get back in touch!!

  6. A little at a time, that's how a blanket gets knit. I have made one blanket in the five years I've been knitting, it's a big commitment! Knit on!

  7. i do love that blanket, garter stitch is my favorite, it will be so welcome when all done. it's still very cold here, in the 30's at night, but somehow flowers are beginning to arrive!

  8. I love that reason for blanket knitting. I have not been keeping warm these days - must remedy that with a knit blanket. :)

  9. "The Irish Country Wedding" sounds like the kind of quiet reading I like before turning off the light. Too much conflict in a story is disquieting.
Your wools are a pleasing color combination - and warm to look at.

  13. I would love to have you read my ebooks in the Saginaw Series. Katy, Jen and Colleen are strong faith-filled girls. The series follows them from the summer before ninth grade to the summer before senior year.

The books are loved by teens and adults. They are an easy afternoon read. I hope you look at them.
