Beauty Abounds

It hardly seems possible that June is nearly half over. But after a quick walk around the yard, nature gives away the truth. The flowers are blooming. The lettuce, radishes, and scallions are ready to be picked (and eaten!!) And the grass is taller than Abraham!

I am baking up four batches of cookie bars for the farmers' market and for our farmstand.

It was great fun to set up the farmstand this morning with the freshly picked produce.

  1. I love, love, love, your little farm stand! I am thinking that is a really good idea....selling a bit of our produce (the lettuce has gone berserk!!) and possibly some bread and baked goods.
How do you keep a money box w/o thievery?

  2. We love going to the Farmer's Market here in central Indiana. Your little farm stand looks very inviting. I wish you lots of luck and fun!

  3. Thank you for the kinds words. We just have a money jar out on the honor system. So far so good, with just a few dollars out at a time, if someone really needs the money then we figure it was meant to be.
    Warm wishes,
