Wednesday Wanderings

Joining in with Garden Mama, just this morning I snapped a photo looking down at my feet as I went about my morning routine.

~Here I stand, although usually these feet of mine are not still. Back and forth, inside and outside travelling many miles each day, from morning baking in the kitchen to wiping the table after each meal and snack, running to the bathroom to help with potty training to dancing to classical music with my children. They travel over these worn wooden floors in our rustic cottage.~

  1. I just finished painting my toenails for the first time in AGES....I didnt realize how worn and tired my feet looked....anything but soft and supple. Like yours, they are working feet...moving, dancing, fluttering in the water....

  5. Love this Tonya....you are so right, a mother's feet are never still. We just returned from vacation so I'm catching up and glad to see you're doing well. Have a great week dancing through your days.

  6. A wonderful picture about a simple and complicated part of our bodies. Your post tells so much about your day. I completely relate. I don't often think about what I have done during the day and how my feet carry me. Thanks Tonya for the beautiful reminder!

  8. How right you are - a mama's feet are busy feet! You've captured the breadth of a mother's activity, from the mundane to the joyful.

  12. I am a barefoot mama too...that or my birks. In these busy days, isn't it lovely to just take a moment and pause to remember what we're all about?

I love your blog and this is the first time I've commented here. Thanks for the inspiration -- you strike me as much more real and unpretentious than many other blogs I see out there. I love that!
