My oldest is like that too...and she has this other way of speaking to nature and the animals, both tamed and wild. They just come to her and are there. I think our daughters would get along.

They both look so peaceful :-) Just this Sunday past, the gospel at mass was the story of Martha and Mary - Martha so busy, always rushing about trying to make everything just right, and Mary taking the time to sit quietly to listen and reflect. Our lives are so consumed with caring for our homes and families - as they should be - that to find that time can be difficult and rare but nevertheless, so very important so that we may continue our work and play with thoughtfulness and care. May you find some opportunities in your busy busy days to hold one of these moments for yourself :-)

How sweet! My four year old son can often be spotted just wandering around the yard with his favorite chicken "Clover" in his arms.
