:: A New Baby to Welcome
September is my favorite month for so many reasons. What does September mean to you?
Warm wishes,
Tonya
(We were blessed not to be too bothered by Irene here in northern Vermont. There was flooding to be sure which resulted in many roads being washed out. Thankfully I did not go into labor that night as it would have been a challenge to get to the main road. Not only was the road washed out but the end of our driveway had a large rut as well which would have made getting out difficult. We have a wonderful community here and our neighbor told the town roads worker as he drove by the evening of the storm and he filled in the rut for us to make it passable. We have been praying for all those who have suffered, but also hoping that the trials result in blessings as they so often do.)
Dear Tonya, we love September for the same reasons. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you didn't have the baby during Irene, though I am hoping that he or she comes soon!
We too were lucky during the storm- we didn't even lose a tree, as I had feared we would. There are many trees down in the Islands though.
Couldn't have said it better myself. We, too, are looking forward to fall, though here it is September 2nd, and today's high in NE Oklahoma is 101 degrees. But the 7-day forecast promises days in the 80s next week, so fall must really, really be coming, right? The pumpkin patch is still growing, still flowering, but the kids are in school and we're getting back into the swing of things. We've got autumn on the brain, even as the sweat runs in our eyes.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! I always feel so happy when autumn is approaching...
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of you Tonya, and praying for you daily as you near your time. When is your due date?
Beautiful. There's just something about Fall...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful life you live! I just love September, too!
ReplyDeleteLove this Tonya. Blessings for the rest of the pregnancy, Daisy xxx
ReplyDeleteOh good, I was thinking and praying for you with the storm and baby combo! :)
ReplyDeleteGod is good! Rest easy. ;)

I love September too!

So many reasons to love this beautiful month!
ReplyDeleteSending lots of love your way as your prepare to welcome you new little one!
Oh, look at that pumpkin! (not luck with them this year, but we are going to keep trying!) I'll be sending warm thoughts your way for a beautiful birth. Happy September!
ReplyDeleteSeptember means SPRING for me!! Warmer days..pretty blossoms, baby lambs and spring planting in the vegie garden!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your prayers. Here in CT we did suffer quite a bit of damage. Thankfully everybody I know is safe, even if they still (!) don't have power. I guess for us, your september is more like our October, with the bright blue skies and "wool sweaters in the morning and evening." But fall is far and wide my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteseptember is a great month for sure...so glad it brings cooler temps and a return to routine. love the photo of your sun sitting in the sunshine doing his work. Maybe this weekend your new little one will come....it is LABOR day weekend you know!?! :) I'll be praying for you for a safe and easy delivery with a healthy baby as a result. hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteAh, September! I think by Monday I'll be ready to embrace it...for this weekend I'm still in summer mode, but we're right there with you in getting the wood ready for winter, bringing in the garden bit by bit and finding our new homeschool rhythm again. September has a freshness about it for sure. Praying for that new babe of yours, and for a safe and peace-filled birth.
ReplyDeleteI am glad everyone is safe and sound. They downgraded Irene to a tropical storm in CT but it sure didn't feel like one!
ReplyDeleteSeptember I love for the first breath of cooler air, new beginnings and soup and sweater weather.
Thinking of you and your beautiful family as you prepare for this new life to join you.
glad you are all ok. We have been thinking about Vermont much as it is our home and we have many friends and family there. Looking forward to "meeting" this new baby.
ReplyDeleteSeptember is my favorite month, also! I'm so glad you weren't deeply effected by Irene.
ReplyDeleteBlessings for the new little one!
