Abby was flipping through my old magazines and came across this idea in an old Martha Stewart Kids and set right to work.
a car and truck garage
It is amazing how much play it is getting. She made multi-levels, with ramps and that yogurt container with the evergreen branch in it is the car wash. There is a gas pump too.
It has been getting lots of use.

great fun xx
ReplyDeleteThat is great! My kids would love that. Guess I'll have to save some boxes!
ReplyDeleteJust like the real thing, but a lot more fun when you make it yourself.
ReplyDeleteA great job...
what a great car wash...just goes to show what a bit of creativity can yield. Hope your week is off to a great start.
ReplyDeleteWow that is fantastic! What a creative child you have.
ReplyDeleteAwesomeness!
ReplyDeleteKiddo made games and toys are the best! This car wash is fantastic. My kids love playing with boxes and tape and colored paper - in fact that's what abigail wants for hannukah - a craft bin all her own!
ReplyDeletePerfect! My eldest does a similar thing, though hers is a stable for horses.
ReplyDeleteWhomever invented tape is a hero around here! I swear Forrest goes through a whole roll in a week. He is so inventive! I love all the creations these little people come up with. It never fails to make me pause and warm my heart.

Forget the video games and plastic action figures - cardboard boxes will always be the most exciting toy around! (This takes me back to my box-transforming days!)
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful that your children are blessed with the creative talent. They will never be bored.. That has been my experience anyway.
ReplyDeleteGod bless...
Wonderful. My son would appreciate that. He likes to create garages and car dumps for some reason :)
ReplyDeleteWarm wishes
xx
My son does the same thing. Hubby and I have to try and hide boxes or he tends to collect them for multiple contraptions he likes to make. If I let him he would keep every single lego box. I do love the creativity he comes up with but we do need to be able to "walk" in certain areas. Not to mention I never have tape when I need it either but I do have one roll hidden in my knitting pouch that he hasn't found yet.
ReplyDeleteI love it. My kids can do this too. Take ordinary everyday things and create a world they love to live in. Enjoy Abby.
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea, kids love creating their own play scape and this can be altered according to the game. Well done guys!
ReplyDeleteI love to see what children can create when left on their own. Thanks for sharing.
