More Snow

Sorry that this may be a bit of a boring post, but I just want to document our largest snow fall of the winter season.

We woke up to nearly two feet.

Looking out our front door this morning.

Mike trudging through the snow  to get a shovel.

Mike and the boys are still outside shoveling, they have been for three hours now.  I went out to help for a bit, but am happy to be back inside baking bread and sipping tea.

Warm wishes,
Tonya

  2. That's a lot of work, but it's beautiful. We missed the snow. It came all in rain! I miss the snow actually. I am hoping we have a few more storms before Spring sets in for good.

  8. It started snowing here in the mountains, since yesterday afternoon.

We have over 3feet of snow in some parts. It is beautiful and peaceful.

My husband and my boys are out shoveling since this morning...Yes, it is a bit overwhelming, but tomorrow promises a nice warm day :)

  12. Dear Tonya,

Wow, what fun! Just think of all the exercise the boys will get shoveling! :)

I'm reading Grace Livingstone Hill's "The Substitute Guest" right now, so your storm fits perfectly with my reading!

  14. Hmmm.....judging by the snowfall amount, you live farther north than I do. We didn't get quite a foot.

  15. That just reminds me of The Little House books, the one with the terribly cold winter.

  16. Wow! That is some pile of snow.
I personally feel like we haven't had enough "snow days" this winter. I love those days when you cozy up at home and watch the weather outside.

  19. Tonya -- we tried to rain it out, really, before it came to you! We had five inches of rain in 12 hours... Stay in, stay warm, read, knit, and bake!

  20. Oh my.I hope that doesn't head our way. We just got rid of 90% of our snow with a few rainy foggy days above 0 in Nova Scotia .
I do think the snow is pretty but not once it is gone.

  21. It's so beautiful and peaceful! I would love for us to have one last big snow here in Indiana but sadly, it looks like I'll have to wait until next winter. Enjoy the fluffy stuff :)

  23. Tonya, thank you so much for sharing your world with us. How wonderful to see all that snow, we are so warm down here in South Africa. We are heading into Autumn now. Your photos are amazing to me and so very beautiful.
    Take care

  24. I SO get the feeling of this. I live along Lake Superior in Michigan. It's been easy this year (maybe it's headed out way?), but it's starting to look a *little* like spring might come. I genuinely hope that it isn't coming here, next.

There's a sort of bittersweet in weather like this, isn't there?
