Under Construction

Our house is up and they are digging around it for drainage and under it to dig out for a basement. I am excited to have a root cellar.

Our days are filled with moving and organizing and sorting and wading through mud.

We are enjoying our new environment and living beside a pond. Just this morning six mallard ducks are visiting. Unfortunately the way the sun was shining over the pond, I was unable to take a picture.

Frog collecting is a daily activity for Abby and Sarah. Reed weaving has been enjoyed as well.

  1. Wow, look at all those windows! I love your new little blue house. Congratulations!

  2. Thank you - yes, the windows are wonderful. Certainly not energy efficient, but I won't let anyone touch them.

I have learned that the last two owners were artists - one a musician and the other a writer. It is just that kind of a house. All of the windows in the front overlook the pond.

  3. Beautiful, what a blessing, even dealing with the mud.

I can't believe you are in the midst of all of this and still got our the newsletter,BTW we received ours on Thurs., thank you.

Cortney is gathering recipes using honey and agave syrup, have you heard of it? We have lots of recipes with molasses too.

We'll be renewing our newsletter subscription and sending you our small exchange item, at the beginning of Aug.

Take care and enjoy your new home. One thing I don't envy you is having to clean all those windows, whew, although I'd love the amount of natural light.

    Blessing for the new week,
