Living a Joy Filled Life

Part of my last posts about hopelessness that seems so prevalent in our society - has prompted me to offer some of the lessons I have learned along our family's journey.

I am not an expert in any one area but I have a passion for life - for living - and a joy that is always inside.

This is a gift that I have been given and I want to share it with others.  I truly believe that nearly anything is possible and that obstacles are meant to be overcome.

Please feel free to ask me questions in the comments and I will devote a post here and there to answer them.
I am sure there will be many I may not be able to answer, but if you want to know about living a less hurried, family-centered life where status and income are not priorities, or want to know about using your gifts to earn an income I would be happy to share my thoughts.

Warmly,
Tonya

  1. I would Love some pointers on living a less hurried life..one where we focus on living simple. Pointers on how we can use our gifts to make an income. Right now my husband runs an concrete business and is only home in the evenings and the weekends. We have a lot of debt :( We would love extra income to help pay off the debt but would also love it if we could figure out how to make a living with the hubby home.My husband loves to work with wood and our girls crochet and knit a lot. I enjoy baking..truffles etc. Would love to hear your thoughts :) Thanks!

  2. Hello Tonya
we are a family of six from Germany (sorry, my English) with a very simple but joyful family-centered life and a small family business too but there are months with financial struggles. I try hard to relax but I am not always successful to push away worries and fears about unpaid bills, the future of our children and retirement.
How do you deal with such things ?

    Many greeting over the ocean
    Susanne

  4. HI Tonya, Thanks for all you do - providing inspiration to those of us who are seeking a better, more centered life. We have moved to our remote property and are attempting to eek out an income from our home business. I design and make children's clothing and accessories and do pretty well when I go to shows - but all of my customers always ask if I have a website so they can purchase a gift for a baby shower, etc. in the future. I have balked up until this point, but finally bit the bullet and decided it would be a good thing if I could have a website - to cut down on travel etc. for shows as we have animals that need to be tended and a large garden in the summer. My question - how do you get noticed in the huge market that is the internet? I now have a website of my own and an Etsy shop and I haven't had any sales It is not unusual for me to do 1000 to 2000 in sales at a weekend show, but I don't seem to know what the secret is on the web. Any suggestions? Thanks so much! Sherri
