A New Birch Fence Around the Wood Stove



Our previous fence had been made of upcycled room dividers and they were beginning to show their five years of use.

Using birch gathered from the edge of fields and some screws we had on hand, Mike made this the other afternoon.

    Beautiful!!!! Would love something like that for my pellet stove, did you make an opening to get to the stove?

    ooh Tonya, I love this so much! what a beautiful handmade alternative to boughten gates! you've inspired me- we hope to get a wood stove insert for our fireplace for next winter, and we'll have a crawling baby at that point. . . would love something like this~

    That is great!! We've somehow managed to function without gates around our stoves...I guess our little ones just get used to the heat in our home when they start to get mobile. But I certainly wouldn't mind one that looked like yours! :)
