Joining in with Ginny this week - to share two of my favorite things to do - knit and read!
I finished Emmy's vest using this pattern. This is the most simple of patterns. If you are a beginner I highly recommend it. You could easily adjust it to make vests for all sizes.
I have cast on this morning for mittens for Abraham, he could definitely use another pair.
The book I have been having so much fun looking through is one I borrowed from the library. It has inspired me to make my own books and to journal as an artistic outlet - especially since I only have small snippets of time for that.
Looking forward to catching up with all of the knitting and reading you are doing.
She's too cute!!!
ReplyDeleteThe vest looks adorable on your wee one and I think your book is something I would enjoy too. I need to call the library and see if they have a copy of Real Life Journals. Happy Yarn Along.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pattern link. I am going to knit one up for my 11 month old. I have been without something to knit since before Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading The Money Savings Mom's Budget. It's good so far.
Blessings!
That vest is so adorable. I definitely need to get on ravelry so I can get that pattern. :)
ReplyDeleteI find myself with short spans of time, which I take and sew - sitting quietly. I remember those days when my children were little and the only time I had to sit and be still was late at night. I took those times diligently and guard them fiercely.
ReplyDeleteAs they grew, I filled my days with so much. Now I am returning to just reading one book at a time and one project at a time.
Thank you for sharing the vest pattern. I want to make one for my little girl. Have a blessed day!

Look how big she's getting! I love her vest!
ReplyDeleteYour little one is so so so adorable - the soft lighting brings out her eyes. And the vest is nice too! Thanks for the book recommendation - I always enjoy browsing through those types of books for inspiration. Journaling has always been a struggle for me because I often want it 'just so' but the 'just so's' don't happen...
ReplyDeleteThat is really a great idea...making small books. I made each of the boys a notebook for Christmas but I think they find the idea of a whole blank book quite daunting. I think we will put together some small ones for them to get started on...and it will use up some of the cereal boxes I have been saving for their crafts.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing.
I can't help but wonder what is she looking at? The book, someone going by...?
ReplyDeleteSo sweet!
Sweet vest, and cute baby!
ReplyDeleteSo darned cute! I just made the milo vest for a new niece or nephew on the way (in VT actually), very similar. I am loving all this talk of making your own books.
ReplyDeleteI love your little vest! Especially the color. I just finished knitting up a vest for my youngest now I think he needs another after seeing yours. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely vest, thanks for the link, maybe I will have a little girl to make if for one day....
ReplyDeleteThat vest is so adorable! We have two that we purchased in your shop and love them! I can't tell you the number of compliments the children have received while wearing them. However, they are growing out of them and I was wondering if you would one day share some of your modifications to make the pattern bigger... I would love to knit one in a bigger size.
ReplyDeleteDarling little vest!
ReplyDeleteLook at how big and alert she is-oh my! That book looks wonderful. I just found some books on bookmaking and journal making myself. I haven't seen this one. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat picture is wonderful, as if she's giving a lecture on your current projects!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, your baby is gorgeous! and the sweater is precious. Love both! Thanks for sharing. crunchycatholicmomma.blogspot
ReplyDeleteI love that photo. Your little one looks so sweet in her top and very interested in the book. I see joint projects in the future. Erm, but maybe not for a few years yet.
ReplyDeleteThat vest is adorable! Thanks for visiting my blog! I actually found your knitted gnome pattern quite a while ago. It gave me the confidence to try and make my own dolls for my babes. So thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, how adorable your little Emmy is! And even kind of not so little! Very cute vest too.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you Tonya, wishing you happy days.
So sweet! Thanks for the vest pattern link - my Lena is 3 months old could use some warm things. Also, what pattern do you use for the mittens you plan to make? Mine all need a new pair!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous vest and what a sweet little model!
ReplyDeleteOh the baby is cute and the vest is cute!! Great knit and simple is always an attraction for my knitting :)
ReplyDeleteSweet Emmy, looks so cute little vest and all!! What a joy I'm sure. :)
ReplyDeleteThat book sounds so fun, I think I may see if our library carries it.
Oh, look at Emmy! She is so big! And so beautiful! I love that vest. I have made similar vests for my boys and they are so great at keeping their cores warm. My boys call them their "armor"!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful photo. Baby Emma looks like she is recommending the book to us all. The vest is so cute.
