We celebrated Abby's 11th birthday on Thursday.
Her day began with the birthday tradition of her Dad bringing her out to breakfast.
After lunch her friends came over for make your own sundae.
At Abby's request we bought one of those cans of whipped cream. We usually make our own whipped cream from cream from a local farm. But what a treat it was for them to spray it out!
Then they were off to the lake on the beautiful summer day.
And then home again with Chinese food and cake, of course, for dessert.
For her birthday gift this year, she requested a set of Prismacolor pencils.
What a wonderful eleventh birthday!! May you have many more that share the same joy!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Abby
ReplyDeletewhy is abby spelled a-b-b-y? i don't get it. i'm having an argument with my family about how to spell it. it's my niece's name and i think it should be spelled a-b-i since abigail is a-b-i-g-a-i-l. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Abby! Sounds like a wonderful day. Have fun creating with your new pencils. I hope your mom will share some of your art work.

ReplyDeleteRemember being a child, when a real treat was something like...Pringles chips or spray whipped cream?? Wonderful. One of the beauties of parenthood is being able to grant these simple little wishes...and knowing that your child will always remember the delight they felt on their special day!
