Abby and Isaac who really are truly the best of friends, our 10 and 12 olds respectively, have built themselves a tree fort.
They even have a pulley with a basket to summon their little sister when they need a snack. I love looking out the window from the kitchen seeing them together, often working on their academic work. Now to just keep encouraging them to build some short side rails......
Warm wishes, Tonya
Also, Two Little Seeds if having a giveaway for two of my knit gnomes.
I love their friendship-so beautiful! And pulleys rule! That fort is impressive. I think I wouold like some side rails too. ;)

that's pretty amazing construction for boys aged 10 and 12. great job...but i agree about the rails. it must be a mama thing.
ReplyDeleteLove it. My sister and I used to play in the trees in our backyard. What teamwork and memories. Yes I agree about rails too!
ReplyDeleteWow, look at all that lush greenery...what a beautiful setting for a tree house!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! What a place to live!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link xx
That is just so great!
ReplyDeleteI always wished my brother and were closer in age and did more things like this together when we were young!
I always wished for one. How wonderful it must be to see this, the expression of their brotherhood + love.. and sharing of experiences.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!
Hi Tonya,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving a sweet comment! It's great to meet you! I'm now following you. :-) I LOVE tree houses and kids and their imaginations are the best!
Looking forward to getting to know you better. Have a great week.
Blessings,
Jill
one of the most rewarding memories I have is having built a tree house with my own 2 hands! what an accomplishment for a child...to conquer fear & figure it out.
ReplyDeletehow beautiful tonya, isn't it great to have children who are the best of friends! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome tree house - it reminds me of one we built with our cousins when we were growing up - the boys built it so high that it was pretty scary going up - but it was awesome to be 30 feet off the ground...
ReplyDeleteI love this Tonya. So sweet. My second son and oldest daughter have always been best of friends.
ReplyDeleteI'd be wanting those side rails too.
Blessings,
Marcia
That is a dream of mine, or perhaps any mama, to have their children be the best of friends. I encourage my young ones to treat their siblings well and to stand up for them. A sibling is such a special thing in one's life...a real treasure. I visited Two Little Seeds just after I was hoping to buy some of your sweet little gnomes...now my fingers are crossed!
