Knitting and Reading

More of my favorite knitting - baby vests.

The Ria is a  new pattern for me and I love the simplicity of it.  I have a question, though, it seems as if my yarn overs don't result in as obvious of a hole as there should be.  Any thoughts?

My friend shared these copies of the publication, Plough with me and I am so glad she did.

Joining in with Ginny at Small Things today.

  2. Very cute baby knits. I haven't knit Ria before, but have you blocked it? I have noticed I don't get the full openings from a yo until I block.

  3. Really cute colors for your knits! If you are doing a standard yarn over then I'm not sure why it's not really popping. I think the yarn makes a big difference in how visible yos are before blocking.

  4. These vests are absolutely beautiful - wonderful colors and they look so soft. I'm taking knitting classes in 2 weeks and look forward to being able to make things - scarves, shawls, etc.

  5. Gorgeous vests. Love love love those colours. Not sure whats happening with your YO's but maybe they are disappearing into the thickness of the yarn? You could try wrapping the yarn completely round the needle next time rather than just pulling it forward. That will give you a slightly bigger hole.
