God's Way

With our seventh baby due within the next couple of weeks, I have to continually let go of my wants and my desires of when it would be best for labor to begin, how much I want to get done each day while not being as present as I need to be for my family, not enjoying the precious moments.  I know I need to turn my life over to God each day, each hour and each second.

Today's church service was a great reminder that ~
Man's way is to do what I want, by my power, for my glory
God's way is to do what He wants, by His power, for His glory

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."     Ephesians 2:10

Warm wishes,

  1. Today you were used to remind me that this is my truth as well. I so want to be home all the time, as you are so blessed to do, and find a way to make a living here on the Lazy Bee Farm. I am very frustrated that I cannot do this.... yet. I keep asking for it, but the answer is "not now."

Thanks for the reminder that it is best to be the clay and not the potter.

Sending you lots of good thoughts as you enter this new season of waiting and watching...

  2. Wishing you all the best in the weeks to come, and the presence of God to help you be excactly what He wants you to be. Let Him be the strength and the reason, every day.

So excited to hear news of the baby, when the time comes!

  3. Tonya,

Take care of yourself..the scripture above is so true..what a great reminder...God's ways are Always the best way....and His timing is always the Best timing....

    Blessings to you,

  4. Thanks for this post. It's a timely reminder for me as well!

  5. Lovely photos. You remind me very much of a dear friend of mine!

  6. Just what I needed to hear tonight...thank you!

And best wishes as you near the end of your pregnancy!

  7. This is so true and so hard for me to live out at times. Sending you warm wishes for a wonderful birth.

  8. Tonya, I have been thinking of you lately as your time draws near. I look forward to hearing of your little one's arrival!

You look great, by the way, and I love your pink dress. :)

  9. Just found your blog and I read a lot of it. Your children are beautiful and it looks like they are living a joyous and creative life. I envy all of you. I'm sure there is lots of work to do but like you said, if you are present in the moment and grateful for what you are doing, it doesn't seem like work. I wish I could raise my children again like you are doing. I'll keep you in my prayers in the next weeks as your family grows larger and the demands on you increase.

  10. Tonya...Holding you in my thoughts right now. Enjoy these last few weeks before more busy-ness settles in. Many blessings to you, your family, and that sweet little bundle within!

  11. Love that bottom shot of beautiful mama and a sweet ice cream eating babe. Sending good birth vibes your way.

  12. it will all work out for His glory and once you're holding that new little babe, the details of timing won't seem quite as looming as they did before the birth. (not that i'm telling you anything you don't already know first hand :)) Have a wonderful week! Glad to be back catching up with you.

  13. It's such a beautiful truth, yet we so often clench our fists and fight for self. We know that God's plan is better yet we cling to our way.

Sending up a prayer for you at this special time. That you will be in the moment, enjoying what God has for you right now as you thoughtfully anticipate what is coming... :)

    Blessings, Debbie
