Yarn Along - Knitting for Baby and Abraham

Whenever I am knitting, Abraham, who is three years old, asks me what I am knitting.  I tell him.  And then the next question that always follows is, "Is it for the baby?"

Lately, it seems that I am always saying, "yes".

So after finishing this little bunny, pattern from the same book I keep mentioning, Vintage Knits for Modern Babies, I cast on for Abraham -

mittens and socks.

I am still reading Anne of Green Gables and really enjoying Anne's love of life.

Joining in with Ginny again this week for the Yarn Along.

  3. Your knitting is always so lovely. I just cast on my second sock from the pattern you shared using two needles. I do love how quickly it goes and have plans to knit pairs for all four of my boy's.

  4. Oh I love the little bunny! So cute. I am planning mittens and socks as well. Hard to believe we will need them before long. I'm sure Abraham will be excited you are knitting for him.

  9. Thanks for reminding me of Anne of Green Gables - I had forgotten that I wanted to read it. That is why I love reading blogs....it continually inspires us to do those things that would otherwise go by the wayside! Now I have to go catch up on the rest of your posts...it has been a while since I popped in.

  11. Thanks for reminding me to read this book ~ I just finished the Hunger Games (my daughters asked me to read the trilogy - very good) and I need a nice, calm soothing book after that series! So glad you prompted my memory! I haven't popped in on your blog in a while so I need to go and catch up on your posts.
