I made this pattern for the little bunny and it can be found in the spring 2010 issue of Rhythm of the Home, which is a free.
If you are interested in reading more about living a more simple life and what industry has done to our food systems and to the small farmer, as well as keeping things simple at home, Wendell Berry is wonderful. Last I read, he still types on a manual typewriter.

I've also heard some of his talks on the subject of farming, very interesting. He has some great thoughts.
We love Wendell Berry too. He's such an inspiration. The bunny is adorable. We still have a few of them that we made last Easter with your pattern. ;)
ReplyDeleteWendell Berry is very inspiring. I heard he was at a protest against Mountain Top Removal Mining a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteIn Wendell Berry's book of essays, What are People For? there is a very interesting and surprisingly lengthy essay in which he explains his reasons for using a typewriter for his writing. (If I remember correctly, it mostly had to do with him not wanting to use electricity unnecessarily as long as it continued to be produced with polluting coal.) Then following, there was a follow up essay where he answered some of the fairly rude letters that had been written into the magazine which published the original essay.

ReplyDeleteCute bunny! I just finished To Kill a Mockingbird and am starting The Diplomat's Wife. I am knitting a new hat for myself since I lost my other one. The pattern is called Noro hat and is made out of Noro Kureyon yarn. So colorful!

I think I've finally read all of the winter articles :) Wendell Berry is on my list of authors to read but I may have to bump him up to the top of the list as I've been hearing such wonderful things about his books!
