I doubled the number of stitiches from the pattern here to make a baby doll sized gnome.

Warm wishes, Tonya

  4. I happened to do the same thing using your pattern and my little has "Brownie" sitting on his bed. Love it! Thank you for the awesome pattern! (I also made little tiny ones as Christmas ornaments for my family and a few ornament exchanges this year and they were much loved!)

  5. Love it. I've been meaning to try out your gnome pattern to make one for my daughter, and I think she'd actually like this baby-sized one better. Thanks for sharing! One question--how do you attach the arms? I couldn't figure it out from the other post, and I see from the comments there I wasn't the only one (I'm an "advanced beginner" so I thought maybe it was just me missing something).

  7. I've been making ever so many charming gnomes from your pattern. They've been gifts mostly. But I do have a terrible internal struggle with giving them away ;-)

  8. I did this a year ago, and my son (just under a year at the time) LOVED his little dolly. It was his first doll, and turned out beautifully!

  10. I have been knitting a gnome too - not this pattern. I was getting quite discouraged with it as it seems to be taking so long and is very fiddly. Your picture of those little arms snuggling the gnome - hand made with love, has reminded me why I was making it, and has inspired me to keep going xx
