Here are some birch bark napkin ring holders with a love bird stamp that we ordered from here.
They make a nice accessory for weddings or anniversary celebrations.
I have added a needle felted rainbow to my knit gnomes ~
Having lots of fun crocheting wool stars....
Created this star wand with a birch branch stick~
In the works....
Big plans for these flat bottomed branch pieces ~
Another knit doll with a new twist planned ~
Also, I have been imagining the formation of a supportive group committing themselves to a handmade Christmas or Holiday Season. The first goal would be to make as much as you can yourself and then buy the rest from small home based businesses and to keep it simple ~ with the title ~ A Handmade Holiday. Thus far, I have thought of creating a separate page here on the blog to provide links to all the other blogs involved and designing a button that could be shared.
I look forward to reading your thoughts.
Warm wishes, Tonya
love the rainbow knit gnomes.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm definitely in on the Homemade Holiday!
ReplyDeleteI've always made a lot of the gifts but I love the title and would love to see it more! I'll take a handmade token over an elaborate purchase any day!
those napkin rings are so precious!
ReplyDeleteSounds great! Most years I have always made my Christmas gifts. This year I will probably do the same. I would be very interested in this.

Tonya, Everything is wonderful! The napkins rings are so so beautiful, and the wand is so sweet and creative!
ReplyDeleteI love your Handmade Holiday idea, it is something that means a lot to me. It is how we have always done it with our children, and it makes me happy to see other families valuing the same ideas.
Hope your are enjoying a beautiful summer day with your family Tonya!
Renee :)
I love the idea of the Handmade Holidays. We do that every year. It is fun to try to figure out what to make that each person will love. I am for it!
ReplyDeleteI am in on the Handmade Holidays. Last year I made about 1/2 of our Christmas and probably bought 1/4 from small home based biz and the rest was regular retail. But I love this idea!
ReplyDeletei'm excited to see what everyone comes up with for the homemade xmas! i'm working on a few plans of my own right now.
ReplyDeleteI love everything you create. We just made a memory match game today! So much fun.
ReplyDeleteI the sweet gnomes!
ReplyDelete"Handmade Holiday" sounds like a fantastic idea. I would so love to be a part of that.
ReplyDeleteI love all your creations. The napkin rings are super sweet.
Beautiful, beautiful items Tonya!
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely love to be in a Handmade Christmas group. I may not get much done, but I would probably get more made than I did last year. A support group would definitely help. Handmade and gifts from small shops just feel so much better! A wonderful idea, thank you ....
ReplyDeleteI love the gnomes and stars. The bird designs on your napkin rings remind me of some of the simple designs by the Shakers-lovely.
OoooooOOo I wanna be part of the handmade holiday club! :)
ReplyDeleteWe had a handmade holiday last Christmas and it was so much fun! We were already planning on having a handmade holiday again this year. It will be fabulous to share with others.
ReplyDeleteYour handmade items are beautiful as always. I love the napkin rings and the star wand. I need to learn how to crochet.
Thanks once again for the inspiration and the beauty found in simplicity. You shine!
I love your stars and wand. I had a chuckle because yesterday my 4 year old dressed herself in a pair of fairy wings made out of wire hangers and panty hose and went outside to find the perfect stick for her wand.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be a part of your homemade Christmas. This is what our family does and it would be great to see other families get involved.
Many Blessings for the holiday weekend.
I love the rainbow knit gnome, and the crocheted stars =)
