The Work Is Pure Joy

Life is so full right now - so wonderfully full.

My body is working harder and harder each day - cleaning up the yard, digging garden beds, moving animals, pushing wheelbarrows.

We are also preparing for Thomas and Sam's wedding here on the 30th of May!  (our oldest son)

We talk about all the things we would like to do around our homestead - plans for many more blueberry bushes, strawberry beds, a guest cabin, more fenced in areas, a someday workshop and barn.

  4. There is something intrinsically satisfying about physical work in the garden in spring, more than at any other time of year I think. Perhaps it is the optimism that accompanies fresh starts and new beginnings.
I am also dreaming of blueberry bushes!

  6. Your place looks great, I'm always amazed by the size of the houses in the US!
We are starting to get busy outside too over here in the alps.
    Lovely portraits of your children.

  7. It is such a hopeful and joyful time of year, here where there are such changes in each season. I've barely found time to blog because there is so much going on...and the dreaming and planning is such a great part of it. :)

  8. Sounds like the dreams are as big at your place as they are here in the foothills. :) That's the nice thing about land...it keeps us working hard, since there is always work.
