Hand Knit Simple Baby Doll

I have been knitting a little woolen doll and plan to knit more and make the pattern available soon.  It is so simple!

I also have been making some little Valentine Gnomes by adding a hand stitched heart on their chests.

So glad to have found this gem of a book on one of our shelves.  The previous owner of our home left many books behind and this was one of them - Minister's Wooing by Harriet Beecher Stowe.  The language is delightful and holding the antique book in my hands as I read just feels so good.

Looking forward  to catching up with everyone at today's Yarn Along at Small Things.

Warm wishes,
Tonya

  2. I read regularly, but don't comment very often. This one, however, got me. That little doll is absolutely precious. I am definitely in love with that one.

  9. Tonya...I just love this dolly!!! I have made your gnomes for all three of my littles a long while back (it seems) and poor littlest fella didn't get as much of the handmade love as I would have liked this Christmas. Methinks I'll be waiting as patiently as I can for this pattern :)

  13. Oh, what a sweet doll. Will you be selling any in your store? I have a baby boy due in a few weeks and would love to knit one for him, but honestly, between a three year old with an ongoing stomach bug and trying to get the house and baby things ready with a dwindling energy supply, I just am not finding much time to knit. If you will be making any of those to sell, let me know, I will be your first customer :) by the way, tell your daughter we are really enjoying the beautiful paper stained glass circles she made. They brighten up the gray winter days and they are so beautiful. She did a great job!

  14. I think your house is perfect based solely on the fact that there were such books left in it. What a treasure! And your little dolls are adorable. So sweet!
