Abby told me yesterday....

"I like home schooling."
"Why?" I asked.
Her reply, "Because I can finish my table work early and then do my chores - like take care of the chickens and goats and then sometimes fill up the inside wood if it needs it - and then have so much of the day to do what I would like - making sun catchers, drawing, and today - I am going to make a movie."

  2. lovely post - children are so honest, so full of the present, aren't they?

mine said something similar recently when (yet another) person in our neighborhood asked her how she liked junior kindergarten.

    happy new year!!

  3. WONDERFUL! I wish I'd been homeschooled. And I wish I could homeschool my kids...we're in talks about doing it year off, year on in a few years when we're financially more on our feet.

  5. I love it. We are planning to homeschool next year, although I get nervous--not so much the academics, but the social life. Most of our friends are not planning to homeschool. Thanks for the encouraging post!

  6. This is why I home school my children. I got a similar response from my boys...I am able to read - they exclaimed! :)
