Joining with Ginny again today to share two of my favorite things - knitting and reading.
I just received this book in the mail yesterday - 100 Days of Blessings - Devotions for Wives and Mothers by Nancy Campbell. I need to be in the Word each day and I am hoping this will be a way to discipline myself. Each devotional references several Bible verses and I have started a Bible journal where I am copying the verses each day.
What are you knitting and reading?
So cute! I will have to check out that book. I too need to be in the word everyday, but find it difficult to figure out what to read everyday. I end up going between several devotionals and am all over the place :-)
ReplyDeleteEmmy looks so sweet in her little hat. I have the Nancy Campbell devotional and read from it most mornings, it is very encouraging for mamas.
ReplyDeleteI've just started reading the new edition of The WholeHearted Child. I love Sally Clarkson and have read just about everything she's written.
Blessings!
Look at that sweet girl! Such a pretty stripe pattern for hat and mittens!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors Tonya, they remind me of cotton candy:-) The baby is growing so fast! She is certainly just adorable!
ReplyDeleteEmmy looks good in her new hat! I love the yarn color.
ReplyDeleteI am crocheting and reading :) Working on learning to knit...my daughter recently learned and is knitting and reading indeed. Blessings to you and your family during this Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteTonya,
ReplyDeletePlease give us the pattern of your mittens....love them!!!

Lovely baby and mittens! Thanks for the devotion recommendation....I too, need to be more consistent about a daily quiet time :)
ReplyDeleteSweet, sweet baby in a sweet, sweet hat! Goodness, she's a lovely little thing :)
ReplyDeleteTonya, little Emmy is a beautiful baby~ She is growing so quickly. Right now I have my nose in Childrens Christmas stories. I love the ones with a special meaning to them. A life lesson inbedded in the pages. This time of year does make one reflect on how we are living our lives and its wonderful that you can receive help from your verses.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are all well and warm.
Lots of love

She's growing quickly and the hat looks lovely. I second you on reading the word and taking time to ponder.

sweet stuff....being in the Word is so valuable, isn't it!? Glad you found a book to feed your spirit. I'm knitting some fingerless mitts right now and waiting on my next book club book....it's a Christmas story.
ReplyDeleteI love the yarn you're using. The hat and mittens are just adorable! My knitting consists of a pair of socks I'd stuffed away two years ago when they didn't fit right. When I pulled them out again, I discovered the fit wasn't so bad after all, LOL. My bedtime book have been the Ralph Moody's books. Our evening read aloud is the last of the Little House series.
ReplyDeleteOh I love it when a sweet darling sneaks into a yarn along photo. Emmy looks precious in her new hat!
ReplyDeleteSweet Baby!!!
