We have been blessed with beautiful sunny weather with temperatures in the high 50s or so. The sun has been brilliant and we are so thankful.
On the ride down I started a knit doll for Abraham and finished it up while here.
I think I will make another and share the tutorial here soon.
We have been doing lots and lots of this. Just taking the short path down to the sea to dig, build, walk, collect, sit, knit, and to just be.
I am thankful for this time to reflect about our family's life and to reflect on what we have been doing and what we might like to do in the coming days, weeks, months and years as we continue this incredible journey called life.
Yeah! Can't wait for the tutorial! I've already knit up several of your gnome hats. So fun!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter can't wait for her baby like this. She "needs" it! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this doll! How soft and cuddly it must be!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the lovely weather and the beach. I prefer it in the fall or spring as well. Too hot for me in the summer!
Take care,
Matty
Well, I am such a beginning knitter that I really do not know how to follow a pattern but, I would still love to take a look and see if I can manage it...my liebchens would love a sweet one like you created. Cutesy...did you make it up by yourself? How long have you been knitting? I have tried to move beyond the beginner stage for years but with homeschooling several children, it is difficult to find the time...wish I had a friend who really cared and would come over for tea and show me how...I would treasure this time...maybe my dream will come true? Happy traveling...the beach is so good for what ails ya'. :)
ReplyDeleteI am happy to hear your family is enjoying this time together Tonya, I look forward to hearing more about your journey! The knit doll is so very sweet : )
ReplyDeleteoh, i couldn't agree with you more that the best place to reflect on the past and plan for the future is with your feet firmly planted in the sand and your eyes focused on the ocean. Enjoy your time away!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable doll and a wonderful life! Blessings, Heather
