Beginner Carving Project

Here is a very simple carving project that is perfect for beginners - both children and adults alike.

My son, Nolan, designed, carved, and finished these little gnomes with watercolor paints. The carving was done with a pocket knife. (Remember, to always be very careful and use proper supervision.)
Warm wishes, Tonya

  2. Just love your blog. YOu and your family are so industrious.

Thought I would pass this little project on to you. It is great for a beginner knitter and the kids.

    'Knitted Roll-Up Pin Cushion'

Cast on enough stitches to measure about 2" to 3" wide. Knit until length is 20" or so. It is up to you how big you will want your pincushion..roll up like a jelly roll and sew end so you work does not unravel. Voila a lovely little pincushion. So easy and fun!
