Autumn Issue Mailed

The autumn issue of Plain and Joyful Living is complete and has been mailed to subscribers.

In it are articles about old fashioned simple living, recipes, handwork ideas and tidbits of interest.

Additional copies are available (please read the on the side panel of the blog). Plain and Joyful Living is a not for profit newsletter. Our mission is to spread the joy of homemaking and a more simpler lifestyle through a hard copy newsletter that is handwritten and copied and mailed through the postal service. If you have a financial hardship, simple email me privately.

On a side note, the days have been filled with alternating periods of rain for over a week now. However, yesterday we enjoyed a rainbow right from our front porch!

  1. what a wonderful idea...I'm not sure much is handwritten anymore. such a neat idea to share your thoughts and ideas in such a personal way. and that rainbow is so great. we're just reading Genesis right now and we're right to where God places His rainbow in the sky as a sign of the covenant.

  2. Thank you for sharing Lisa. This issue marks the beginning of our second year of publication - it is our family's ministry and way to keep the handwritten and printed word alive as well as share a more simpler way of living.

  4. What a beautiful idea to have a newsletter!
I love the photo of the rainbow you saw, it looks like our yards are very similar looking surrounded by woods! How neat to think we saw a rainbow on the same day : )
Many warm wishes to you and your family!

  5. Good morning

Thank you so much for visiting my blog . I love finding new blogs of interest that I can add to my daily read. I think the news letter is a wonderful idea. I would love to receive it. As a young girl, I collected writing paper and still do. I think writing and receiving mail is so special. I think you have a wonderful etsy shop too.

    Have a wonderful day
    Warm regards
    Suzanne

  8. Hey There!! I love your blog! I just popped over from 'She Looketh Well' and I'm so glad I did. I'm trying to get back to living simply... making my own home products, canning, gardening, etc. It's always fun and full of surprises and experiences. Will definitely be coming by more often. Love the newsletter! Do you mail to Canada?
