Food Baskets

We have been delivering some weekly food baskets to a couple of customers.

In each basket:

two dozen eggs

two loaves bread

cookies (about 2 dozen)

this week's veggies from the garden:

broccoli

beets

new carrots

lettuce

snap peas

turnips

radishes

new onions

This has been another outlet to market our small market garden as well as our eggs and homebaked goodies.

Blessings,

Tonya

  2. If you don't mind my asking how did you decide what amount to charge for the basket? We'd feel more comfortable doing a CSA garden, with weekly basket, verses a Farmer's market. The problem is figuring out what to charge.

Our problem is that naturally grown produce doesn't mean much to very many in our area. All they say is, " Natural or Organic costs so much more, it's not affordable." They seem to want chemical free foods, but at Walmart prices. I share and try to educate people all the time about eating whole foods, the way God intended us to eat, not GMO or manmade hybrids, doused in chemicals. Some are receptive, others just roll their eyes and laugh, saying "Food is Food!" *sigh*

Those baskets sound lovely and definately look lovely!.

What a good witness and a blessing for the your family as well as the customer/ receiver.

    Blessings,
    Kelle
