I've found that the patches come off because the thread is exposed to a lot of wear and scuffing, and even the heavy thread I use breaks after a while. I am going to use the full sole from now on because the sewing is on the side of the foot. Hope this makes sense.Mittynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-826587706231091602.post-75448978817762094992010-12-01T21:49:32.442-05:002010-12-01T21:49:32.442-05:00You can also purchase slipper foot bottoms at fabr...You can also purchase slipper foot bottoms at fabric stores. They are usually in the notions sections and used for jammies. I glued mine on and then used a mattress stitch or something similar to keep the edges pretty. Ultra suede works really well too. If you can find it at a store, there is often left overs in the remnants section.Kristihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07732086426283813244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-826587706231091602.post-32552045412495627352010-12-01T20:14:16.266-05:002010-12-01T20:14:16.266-05:00It wouldn't take much leather...I would look f...It wouldn't take much leather...I would look for an old handbag or skirt at a thrift store. ;)sheilahttp://thesecondtwinsews.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-826587706231091602.post-54592221368398268162010-12-01T18:48:51.727-05:002010-12-01T18:48:51.727-05:00The puffy paint works fantastically!
