I loved Mrs. Mike when I was younger, and have been meaning to reread it. Apparently it is a fictionalized account of the real-life adventures of someone the authors interviewed extensively. I did find parts of it to be not-so-light, as they go through some tragedies living in the far north.

Mrs. Mike - read it many years ago - funny, beautiful, tragic, uplifting.
