It isn't a problem, usually, because goats are grazers by nature and will only eat a bite or two. Of course, if the goat is ill already or weak, it can be fatal almost instantly. The fact that yours are still on their feet seems to suggest that they are going to be fine.

Tonia over at Simple Life blog is a pro with goats. I suggest you give the goats activated charcoal (you can buy it in the tube paste form at most feed stores), to help rid of the poison. The pill form for people could work, but you would need to look up the dosage...I'm not sure. Also, give them probios. You can give them yogurt for now, but the kind sold in the tubes (also in paste form found at the farm stores), is even better, especially considering that they are currently doing poorly. That's what I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure others have more ideas. We are headed out for errands, but I will be thinking of you, your family, and your goats, and praying for a quick recovery.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-826587706231091602.post-51072246358884282652012-04-18T10:46:22.977-04:002012-04-18T10:46:22.977-04:00Oh, you...and your goats...will be in my thoughts ...Oh, you...and your goats...will be in my thoughts for sure.
