The four books are short stories about Catholic friends growing up in Saginaw, Michigan. This is my second series.

Holiday Series tackles some pretty difficult subjects. My hopes are that Mothers and Daughters, Aunts and Nieces, Brothers and Sisters, and even Grandmothers and Granddaughters read these books together and then discuss them. Internet bullying, abortion, zero tolerance and its consequences, disrespectful and rude behavior as well as forgiveness, cancer, waiting for answers from God in God's time not ours, finding out the world does not revolve around us are some of the issues in the Holiday Series.

It is difficult raising teens in today's world. It is also difficult to find a way to talk with them without it being stilted and preachy! Maybe reading these books and then just discussing them on a car ride or sitting at the kitchen table would be a great way to begin these difficult situations.

My eBooks are available at http://amzn.to/SuRAN0
My blog is http://saginawseries.blogspot.comMary Ellen Shea Cliffordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14562778064079146421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-826587706231091602.post-87849248567465908502013-07-18T19:19:46.187-04:002013-07-18T19:19:46.187-04:00growing lots of plants for natural dyes ... From the kitchen, I have dyed successfully with black beans (glacier blue), avocado skins (pinky beige), fennel fronds (moss green). On my list to find this week is some birch bark (pinks) and marigolds (orangey yellows). But it is important to mordant with plant dyes or it will wash out...did you do that with your onion skins? I use alum and cream of tartar. Oh, I could go on and on about this...or we could pm?
xo Julesa little crafty nesthttp://alittlecraftynest.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.com
